Connectors like socket cups are structurally built in the distal part of sockets. They are designed for connection of sockets with lower positioned modules.
There is a variety of design solutions:
- Connectors fitted with a tube connector for the socket of the long trans-tibial residual limb to connect to a foot module
- Connectors fitted with a pyramid connector (three petals)
- Connectors fitted with a flanged connector (four petals, material - wood and plastic)
Connectors for different weight categories of amputees:
- for amputees weighing up to 80 kg
- for amputees weighing up to 100 kg.
Connectors are fabricated from various materials such as: steel, titanium, aluminum alloy, high-quality wood, high-strength plastic.
